About the Church:
New Beginnings Baptist Church is an independent, Bible believing Baptist church. This simply means we are a local, autonomous, New Testament church governed by its people who follow the leadership of the Spirit of God and the Holy Scriptures. We are not affiliated with any established religious or denominational governing body.
New Beginnings Baptist Church was formally established on April 26, 2016 by a group of like-minded believers in the church building formerly known as Victory Baptist Church. Since that date, God has miraculously blessed the church, with the salvation of numerous souls and slow, consistent church growth. The simple desire of the church body as a whole is to help people; to help lost souls find salvation in Jesus Christ, to help saints find encouragement and truth to walk in their daily Christian life, and to be a light in the community to help the world see that Jesus loves them. From the pastor down to the youngest believer, you will find at New Beginnings a church with harmony in our love and unity in our desire to serve.
About the Pastor:
Pastor Chad Benefield was born in Hahira Georgia on July 14, 1977. After moving with his family to Roanoke, Alabama, he began to attend church at the young age of six, riding in faithfully on the church buses. Although he made a profession of faith when he was 6 years old, Bro. Benefield was truly saved on Dec 1, 2000, at the Mountain View Baptist church in Cowpens, SC, during revival services. In October of 2006, after months of prayer and deliberation, Bro. Benefield accepted the call to preach. After serving faithfully at the church by singing, teaching Sunday School, and helping coordinate the visitation program, God called Bro Benefield and his family to serve as the assistant pastor at Victory Baptist church in Roxboro NC in August, 2012, a position he held until being voted in as pastor on May 25, 2014. Bro. Benefield has served faithfully as the pastor since then, helping to oversee the church’s transition to New Beginnings Baptist Church in April of 2016.
Bro Benefield and his wife, Leslie, have five children, with his oldest son serving as the church pianist. The pastor enjoys outdoor activities, sports, and woodworking.
